Thomas "Todd" Doane Perry, IV

May 15, 1970 ~ August 26, 2018
Todd grew up in Winchester, Virginia where he spent much of his childhood on a soccer field, playing travel soccer for his club and high school teams. His athleticism extended to football as well, starring as the kicker of the Handley Judges. He graduated from John Handley High School in 1988 and went on to graduate from James Madison University with a BBA in Management in 1992. While there, he joined business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and met many lifelong friends as well as the love of his life, Karen Kerndt. Todd earned his MBA from the College of William & Mary in 1994. Todd’s love of soccer continued into adulthood, as he became a national referee at age 25-the minimum age for the level - and was an active volunteer in local youth soccer and basketball.
Professionally, Todd joined Accenture in 1994 and moved up through the ranks to become a Managing Director, leading up the Analytics Health and Public sector. He traveled around the country and the world, fully supporting his clients and colleagues throughout his 24-year career. Beyond his career at Accenture, he shared his business skills with the next generation and served on advisory boards at both James Madison and William and Mary.
In December 1994, Todd married Karen and discovered his most important role in life: caring for his family. Todd was an adoring and loving father to Katharine Taylor, Margaret Elizabeth and John Patrick. Todd was devoted to his family in every way, whether it was as coach, field trip volunteer or playing the role of Thomas Jefferson (in full costume) at elementary school events. In addition to enjoying everyday moments with his kids watching movies, jumping waves at the beach or kicking the soccer ball, Todd often arranged for fun getaways to see Harry Potter or Star Wars premiers along with surprise trips to Disney.
Todd will be remembered as a devoted friend who was consistently the first to offer help, advice or support to anyone in need. He shared a love of sports, music, Guinness and a good margarita and always had an entertaining story to tell. His kindness and genuine thoughtfulness touched everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
Todd is survived by his parents, Robert and Carol Perry of Ashburn, Virginia, his loving wife Karen Perry and their three children Taylor, Maggie and Jack; his brother John Perry, sister in law Michelle Perry and nephews Carter and Marshall; many cousins and scores of dear friends who consider him family.

Todd ‘s smile lit up every room he walked in. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Todd, who always brought light and laughter. One of the kindest people I had the benefit of knowing, his words and friendship meant a lot to me. – Ginger Dusek
I would like to offer my condolences to you on the loss of your loved one. The pain experienced because of death can seem unbearable, please be comforted knowing that God loves you and he can make your grief bearable. (Psalm 72:7 &14). May you have the peace of God in your hearts to help you to cope and endure during this very difficult time. (Philip 4:6&7).
