  5. Hey Buddy, Our prayers for you, Mark, and Leslye could not be more serious. The legacy that you helped Kay create will sustain her greatest contributions and this moment of shared sadness. You have been her beacon standing straight, and shining bright. Please dig inside, deep inside past that pain and keep that light lit for Mark and Leslye. Kay needs that now more than ever, because while Mark and Leslye are your strength, they are her legacy. My family and I extend love to you and yours. You will have better days because in Kays extended vigilant care, you are never alone. Omar and Blanca

  7. Dear Bill and children, I was so sorry to hear about Kay. I am so glad that I had the pleasure of being her friend as a neighbor, Girl Scott leader and fellow Seahawk. I think she was the most wonderful mother (who makes their kids eggs every morning before they go to school!!) and I know how much she loved Butch, as she called you. I will miss her dearly when school starts up again this year. Sam and Dianna Farrar

  14. Dear Bill, Derrick and Leslye, I was so saddened to learn earlier today from Jim of Kay’s passing. I remember so well moving from Boston to Reston and Saffold Way in October 1974 with Jim, John, Kevin, and Jessica (in utero) and being welcomed to the neighborhood by Kay and her big smile. I liked her instantly and always so admired her commitment to her family and serving her community. Please accept our condolences and know that you are in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts. Love, Nancy (Binkley) Blankinship

We are so happy to have spent some time with Kay at Deanna’s wedding, the German Bierfest and the wonderful Christmas parties.
