JoAnne Faye Hill, age 89 of McLean, VA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2024. JoAnne was born on September 26, 1934 in Washington DC; the daughter of John Glen and Edna Aley (Turner) Van Werry.

JoAnne was raised and educated in Arlington, VA. She was a 1952 graduate of Washington & Lee High School. JoAnne attended George Washington University for two years and then married her high school sweetheart, James M. Hill.

JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, her brother John and her sister Mildred who just passed last month on April 11th. She is survived by her daughters Terry Lynn Hill and Jamie Sue Mahoney. Her grandchildren; Tara Anne Elkins (husband Drew), Rylan Michael Mahoney (wife Lauren) and Kerry Shea Peck (husband Greg). Her great grandchildren, Connor & Landon Elkins and Cameron Peck. She is also survived by her uncle Rueben “Griff” Griffin, her nieces Tamara Kammerer, Jody Gouley and her nephews Timothy and Wayne Van Werry.

The family will receive friends at the Money & King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA 22180 on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 12:30pm until the service time at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
