It is with profound sadness, that the family of Pamela (Pam) Hinkle (formerly Jackson) announces her departure from this life at the age of 76. Surrounded by her family, Pam peacefully shed her mortal coil and passed into the loving arms of our Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Martha Jefferson hospital in Charlottesville, VA.
Pamela Rose Weaver was born September 22, 1948, to William C. and Alma S. Weaver. She was the third child, joining brother (William C.) and sister (Maysel A.). The Weaver family resided in Arlington, VA.
Pam married Herman G. Jackson (“Jack”) in 1973. The couple raised their children: David and Jeni in Fairfax, then Manassas – where they began a horse boarding business. The couple eventually moved to Haymarket and then Culpeper where they remained until Jack’s passing in March of 2007.
Years later, Pam found love again with Paul Hinkle. The couple were married in 2011 at Paul’s home in WV, where they resided until Paul’s death in November of 2014.
Pam dedicated her life to the career of cosmetology. She owned and operated three salons in succession: Touch of Class in Falls Church, VA, Shear Class and Hair and You both in Manassas, VA. She was much loved and respected by her staff and clients alike, many of whom followed her from place to place out of deep fondness and loyalty.
In addition to her career, Pam’s hobbies and interests included: painting, sewing and crocheting. She was a fantastic cook and gifted home decorator. She loved Willie Nelson and the Wheel of Fortune. She was also a pet lover and always shared her homes with one or more dogs and cats. Most recently, her beloved Rocky and Maggie provided her great love and companionship prior to their own respective crossings over the “Rainbow Bridge”.
Pam’s greatest legacy has and always will be of great love and devotion to family! Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend: Pam is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and spouses. She leaves many loved ones to cherish and honor her memory: son, David (Lisa) Jackson; daughter, Jeni (Shaun) Jackson; niece, Christa (Vicente) Bautista; granddaughter, Emily Jackson; grandson, Branden Jackson; great-nephew, Devin Bist; great-granddaughter, Audrey Jackson; great-grandson, Emmit Jackson; daughter, Jacquelyn Riggs; son, Douglas (Sharon) Jackson; grandchildren: George Riggs IV, Samantha Riggs, Christopher McCullough; great-grandchildren: Nathan Kannard, Hope Kannard, Liana Riggs, Madison DeBord, Haley DeBord, Hunter DeBord, Antonio Williams; nephew, Brad Weaver; nieces: Beth (Tom) Konerth and Paige Weaver-Mangrum and many other extended family.
