Susan McGuire Walker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan
Phyllis (McGuire) Walker, beloved wife, mother and grandmother
who passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 25, 2025 at
her home in Northridge, California at the age of 87. Susan was
the youngest child born to Ollie and Ora (Caudill) McGuire on
December 16, 1937 in Boyd County. Her brother Elmer McGuire
and sister Billy Jean Stevens preceded her in death.
Susan, her husband Max, and their five children lived all over the
world as a U.S. Air Force family. Despite their far-flung travels,
their ties to Kentucky remained. Susan left behind the love of her
life for almost 70 years, Max Hansford Walker. Susan was a
devoted mother and is survived by four children, Gina, Tania
(Chris), Mark (Debra), and David. Her beloved son, Joseph,
passed away in March 1987. Susan was a proud grandmother to
Rachel, Elinor, Sarah, Rebekah, Anna, Elizabeth and Adam.
Funeral and burial arrangements are being finalized
